Blast Furnace Slag Concrete (Self Curing Type)

Concrete using the admixture of blast furnace slag micro powder - an industrial by-product has the advantage of reducing environmental burden and insuring resistance to salt permeation, but it is required to perform moist curing for 3 days after formwork removal in order to obtain sufficient performance. Self-curing blast furnace slag concrete, by using an appropriate amount of saturated porous fine aggregate, enable to obtain moist curing from inside of concrete. As a result, this concrete has excellent strength development and various durability without supplying water from outside. Moreover, by omitting the moist curing work, the productivity can be improved and the production costs can be reduced. Self-curing blast furnace slag concrete is suitable for application such as PC deck in areas with the risk of salt damage.
