Blast Furnace Slag Concrete

Blast furnace slag concrete is the concrete in which 50% of the unit cement amount is replaced with blast furnace slag fine powder (6000 cm²/g), which can improve durability and reduce environmental burden. The amount of carbon dioxide emitted during the manufacturing process of this concrete is about 40% of that of the conventional concrete, which makes it more environmentally friendly. Additionally, the blast furnace slag fine powder makes the hardened product denser, so durability against salt damage and alkali aggregate reaction is improved. P.S. Mitsubishi Construction have successfully applied the technology for precast desks and precast girders.
